Barcelona-Sants is the main railway station in Barcelona and Catalonia. It is also the first station of Spain in international journeys and second in national routes, and is expected to remain so until the completion and commissioning of the station of Barcelona-Sagrera.
Stop at this station most of the trains of Catalonia and the connects to all of Spain, both by means of the classical Iberian gauge network as the new LAV Madrid-Zaragoza-Barcelona-French border international width. The station, owned by ADIF, is located in the Sants-Montjuic district, with entrances from the square of the Catalan Countries (south) or Joan Peiró Square (north). On the station there built a hotel chain Barcelo and next to Plaza Joan Peiró bus docks.
